In Georgia, there are diverse kinds of places and activities to do. You can visit a lot of places in Georgia, like state parks, beaches, mountain trails, charming streets, and others. If you are fond of art then you should definitely go to the town of Blue Ridge. People have fondly called this town as the Switzerland of the South since it is the center where you find a lot of art and craft galleries and where you can enjoy live music performances. Wooded areas surround the small town which is ideal for hiking trail adventures, and if you love kayaking, you can also do this activity in the nearby Ocoee River.
Then there is a town on Pine Mountain which is adjacent to the Calloway Gardens resort where you can find beautiful gardens, lakes and golf courses. You can visit the locals in the town proper where you can get a taste of southern cuisine, antique shops and plenty of other local shops. If you need accommodations, you can stay at Calloway Gardens or stay in nearby apartments in LaGrange, GA which is the city next to this town.
From Savannah, you can drive to Tybee Island which is an island of pure sandy beaches and sand dunes. Water and land activities are plenty in this 22 square mile island. You can also sit along the beachfront and enjoy the view from the island.
You can also have an adventure hiking trail through the Cohutta Mountains of Georgia, called the Panther Creek Trail. There are majestic waterfalls to view along the trail which are breathtaking and these falls flow in multiple tiers to a pool of water down below which is crystal clear. This place is one of great peace and quiet and is a great place to do some quiet meditation while listening to the flow of water from the falls. The many campsites around would be a great place to enjoy the place with your friends.
In the Providence National Park lies the Providence Canyon which is Georgia’s version of the Grand Canyon. During the summer months the place is bright with colors of orange, red, yellow, and purple. If you want to take the canyon hands on, you can do so with hiking and rock-climbing activities in the place.
